Catholic
genealogy website launched
A website for Catholics researching their family trees is being launched
this week. Catholic Genealogy at:
www.catholic-genealogy.co.uk
will start accepting subscribing members on Wednesday.
Spokesman Paul Duxbury explained: "Our aim is to
create a powerful online community which will enable members to interact
with other genealogists and progress their family research. With over two
years experience of running MSN Genealogy Online Forum, the owners of
Catholic Genealogy have a wealth of experience and personal understanding of
the Catholic Community."
Membership subscription is set at £5 a year.
Benefits include: access to members forums; exclusive resources focused on
the Catholic genealogist; births, marriages and deaths databases and
surnames database.
"Members can decide whether to allow others to
contact you via email if they are also researching the same names. Many of
us have certificates that we would be happy to let others have."
The site also offers a quarterly newsletter;
downloadable forms to assist research; advice, features and articles.
